This morning I visited for the first time the fish and fruit market in Shanghai Pushi.
I have to say that I had a lot of apprehensions to go there because I went many times in the markets in China but was not a great memories.
Well this morning, it was definitely not an average one but super I may say... especially for seafoods and fruits. We really find some great stuff and very seasonal too. Interesting enough that I did not see any other European people except me and my Italian chef during this visit which we became the attraction of the day in this part of Shanghai and everybody treated us nice and even play with me when I wanted to make a photo.
Overall, I love it and came back to work with a great sense of feeling the local ingredients to cook tonight at the restaurant…
We came out cooking the live shrimps sautéed with olive oil and garlic. Wow, Magical… With good ingredients tasty cuisine is so easy to do...
