This year for the 2014 Gourmet Abu Dhabi we had the chance to welcome a very famous chef Massimo Boturra. He is a 3 Michelins star chef from Modena Italy where the Ferrari cars are made and also very famous fantastic balsamic vinegar that they produce in this part of the country.
I really enjoyed spending two days with him. Not only his food was very interesting and great but also because both of us use to work for Mr Ducasse and we have a lot of chefs stories to talked about… :)
Massimo was very focused for his dinner, almost in a different world for a couple of hours…Even sometimes very “passionate” but so much love for what he is doing.
What a great Italian master chef!
This morning my chefs did a little celebration for my birthday. Last year I got a bounty cake and this is it was a M&M one :)

What to do when you are a chef and somebody asked you that you have to do it because so many of my colleagues did it already… :)
Cooking at the level of 50 meters in air is anything except easy but so fun. I really enjoyed that experience.
The filming crew from the English TV BBC were super nice and guests loves the food.I was able to make few pictures on the spot between courses.
Really an experience this dinner in the sky. Ready to do it again but next time, nooooo wind please… :)

It has been a exciting year for my blog. More than 6000 pages views and more than 3000 different persons went to see my little blog. Sincerely, I am very positively surprise as I was thinking with no publicity I would do more personal photos collection than a place where people go to see what I am doing… :)
I also received so many messages and made very interesting connection with the blog. One of the highlight was the felicitation from my photograph hero Mr. Eric Lafforgue. What a great gift from him and cannot wait to meet him one day..
Nevertheless, in 2014 many more to come. Will also invest in some new equipment that will help for quality presentation.

Few days ago we had a very special event for couple of days in our hotel. The GM meeting… This is the kind of event that you really want to make sure that everything is perfect. :)
All of the Kempinski general managers plus all of the top management from our company have gathered altogether for one week. 6 meals a day have to be served perfectly to show the quality of our culinary department. You will see with some of the pictures I took that we did a fantastic job. And I am so proud of my team!
Glad it’s over so we can start to sleep a bit before the holiday season start and looking forward to make it again next year.
One of my chef happiness is to help great farmers to talk about what they do and introduce to our clients the fantastic produces that they producing for us. In Abu Dhabi believed or not is plenty of them. I really enjoy doing that...
